Coachella Valley Water District’s (CVWD) Board of Directors today welcomed new Director Anthony Bianco, who was elected last month to represent Division 2.
Bianco, who was born and raised in the Coachella Valley, is farm manager for Anthony Vineyards in Coachella.
“I look forward to serving the community in my new role,” Bianco said. “I will work to ensure we have high quality, reliable and affordable water resources for area residents and businesses for generations to come.”
He replaced outgoing Board member Ed Pack, who was honored by the Board with a resolution for his dedication during his term.
“It has been a pleasure,” Pack said after receiving the resolution. “I’ve enjoyed serving the past four years and wish the Board the best of luck moving forward.”
In related business, the Board selected John Powell Jr. to continue acting as President of the Board and selected Cástulo R. Estrada as the new Vice President.
