The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) Board of Directors will conduct its next regular public meeting in the evening instead of the morning to allow for greater accessibility.
The evening meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the auditorium at CVWD’s Steve Robbins Administration Building in Palm Desert. The closed session portion of the agenda will begin at 5 p.m. and the open session will begin at 6 p.m.
The evening meeting is part of on-going efforts to increase CVWD’s transparency and accessibility to the public.
The agenda for the Sept. 11 meeting will be published no later than Friday, Sept. 7 at www.cvwd.org. The public is provided time to speak to items on the meeting’s agenda and to comment about any district- or water-related topic.
The Steve Robbins Administration Building is located at 75-515 Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert. Free parking for the board meeting is located immediately in front of the building.
Regular meetings for the five-person elected board are at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and alternate between CVWD facilities in Coachella and Palm Desert.
