Tours
CVWD will provide tour guides to groups of individuals who want to see district facilities. Among the most popular fieldtrips are the
wastewater reclamation plants and
replenishment facilities. The Imperial Dam tour is probably the district’s most well known tour. Given twice a year, this eleven-hour tour travels over 350 miles. The Imperial Dam is the highlight which is where water is diverted from the Colorado River for use by farmers in the Coachella Valley. Throughout the day attendees receive an abundance of information about the water district and history of water in the Coachella Valley.
